I’m going to be brief here. I’m a student and so cash is not on hand so to speak.
I love my sports though and play a lot of tennis and squash. I also like to hike and take day trips from my college. And naturally after all that hard work it’s time for some R&R so I have a number of casual pairs of shoes as well…and then let’s not forget the dress shoes I’ve bought for job interviews that I’ll be looking forward to next fall.
You’re getting the picture hopefully. I’ve got a lot of shoes, like hiking boots, trainers, casual shoes etc….and I need space to store them.
I don’t want to spend any money but I really need them organized. Right now they are all just thrown into my closet.
Some kind of cheap closet shoe storage idea or solution is really going to help me out.
Thanks!
Since there is little extra room in most closets and very little wall space. Women need a cabinet (Hard plastic or wood) that will fit under our dresses, in the closet that has about four drawers, sectioned off for shoes. It should measure about 33″ wide, 26″ deep and 22 ” high. When you pull out the drawer you can see about 12 pair of shoe easily. It would remove the clutter and keep them organized. Can’t some storage company invent that for us?
grab one pair of a shoe each, and place it on the floor.
once your all done, look for the other shoes to match the shoes on the floor.
after that, put all the shoe pairs in a seperate box, one pair each box, or, just put the shoes in your closest neatly.GOOD LUCK!!!! =)
Bed Bath and Beyond have a shoe holder, about 10.00.
I saw the coolest thing online…. I can’t remember the name but, anyway it’s a shoe organizer that you use UNDER your existing bed skirt… It has up to 20+ pockets and the shoes are hidden under the bedskirt.. I just thought that was ingenious use of wasted space… I just checked out Aseenontvnetwork.com… It’s called shoeskirt!
You could also put the bed on risers and store them neatly by season under the bed or use behind the door organizers…
good luck
shoe organizers can be very cheap to very expensive. metal racks can cost as little as $5, wooden shelving units can be as much as $50 if you buy a kit to DIY. i’d recommend the rack, its rather effective and little to no assembly.
do you save the shoeboxes they come in? if you did put them all back into original boxes and stack (you can also take polaroids or print pictures of all the shoes and tape that onto the box so you know whats in it). otherwise just pair all the shoes up and line them up in piles. keep the ones you use most closer to the outside of the lines.
